EduCare Project

Education for children in many parts of Africa is challenging due to the lack of facilities and access to resources that are essential for learning. We want to establish an educational resource centre starting in Uganda, which will include a library, printing facilities, a science laboratory, seminar rooms, vocational training facilities and an ICT laboratory. Local schools in the area will then have access to the centre and its resources.

Healthcare for Families

In rural villages, many families fatally suffer from simple but curable diseases due to a lack of access to essential healthcare services. Along with some of our key partners, we are raising money to provide essential healthcare services to those suffering from physical and mental illnesses through health centres such as Loro (to be constructed), Adwir, Alemere, and Abako Elim.

Sustainable Farming

The demand for food production in Northern Uganda has created enormous pressure on the environment which has resulted in many trees being cut down for farmland. The goal of this project is to reduce deforestation and improve crop yields by training local communities in sustainable farming. We aim to reproduce the success of previous projects where communities incorporated tree planting with rice, millet, and maize farming.

Water and Sanitation

Clean water is essential for a healthy life and unfortunately, in many remote villages across Africa, access to clean drinking water is extremely hard to find. Your donations will help fund this project allowing us to distribute aqua boxes – providing water filtration units which make water safe for drinking and cooking, as well as drilling boreholes which will provide whole communities and schools with vital access to clean drinking water.

Youth Empowerment

To help increase employment, allowing young adults to generate an income this project will help teach vocational skills in rice and maize farming, processing and marketing. We are working with our partner Community Action for Economic And Social Transformation (CAEST), to empower the youth and women in Lira, Northern Uganda. CAEST now has over 40 members and have their own rice and maize milling factory in Lira Town.
