YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
To help increase employment, allowing young adults to generate an income this project will help teach vocational skills in rice and maize farming, processing and marketing. We are working with our partner Community Action for Economic And Social Transformation (CAEST), to empower the youth and women in Lira, Northern Uganda. CAEST now has over 40 members and have their own rice and maize milling factory in Lira Town.
What we’re doing to help
At MedAid UK, we tackle the reasons why the women and youth are living without these basic human rights. Along with our partner CAEST (Community Action For Economic And Social Transformation) through Medical Aid Uganda – we try to increase employment to help teach vocational skills in rice and maize farming, processing and marketing. CAEST has a brand new milling machine for rice processing to continue uplifting the living conditions of local people in Northern Uganda. This project will also increase income opportunities, reducing poverty and crimes rates. To make lasting change happen on a massive scale, we work with others to pool knowledge and resources and rally support from as many people as possible.
A special mention to Jimmy Ogwang – Chairman CAEST thanks for his dedicated job, we continue working together as partners to raise the living condition in Northern Uganda districts. Your donations will continue to make this project possible and we will use all money raised in the best way possible.
